Richardson Doubling Capacity at Saskatchewan Canola Crush Plant

After investing $120 million to upgrade its crush plant in Alberta, Richardson is now making another significant investment to optimize efficiencies at its canola crush plant in the heart of canola country - Yorkton, Saskatchewan.

Once completed the project will double the site’s processing capacity to 2.2 million tons to help meet growing demand for canola oil and canola meal products. It will include a high-speed shipping system with three 9,500-foot loop tracks serving both major railways and three high-speed receiving lanes, providing producers and truckers a fast and effective means of seed delivery.

Construction is slated to begin immediately without disrupting current operations, and is expected to be completed in early 2024.
