GrainChain Partners with Mastercard to Bring Transparency to Commodity Supply Chains

Agricultural blockchain company GrainChain has forged a partnership with Mastercard’s proprietary blockchain platform Provenance to digitize commodity supply chains throughout Central America, Mexico, and the U.S.

Increasingly, consumers, brands, and governments are demanding to know where products are sourced. And with the tie-in to Provenance, users will have the ability to “forensically track” and authenticate their commodities, from raw materials and inputs, to harvesting, processing, logistics, and delivery - protecting farmers, brands, and consumers.

This ability to have trusted end-to-end visibility of commodities will have the largest impact on smaller suppliers in countries that lack real-time, reliable information, bringing transparency, accountability, and greater profits.
