Viterra Building New Elevator in Saskatchewan

Leading Canadian grain company Viterra has announced plans for the construction of a new state-of-the-art grain elevator in Biggar, in West Central Saskatchewan.

Construction is expected to begin immediately, and once online, the facility will have the capacity to store 34,000 metric tons of grain, and will be equipped with a loop track for rail loading.

Headquartered in Regina, Viterra has a history in agriculture, stretching back more than 100 years. With a focus on North America, the company specializes on the efficient handling, processing, distribution, and transportation of grains and oilseeds to global markets.

For several years the company has been making targeted investments across its network - and as part of this strategy is revitalizing its presence in the Biggar region and making a long-term commitment to its customers. These targeted investments are also geared toward strengthening Canada’s agricultural supply chain.
