High Demand Drives ADM to Expand Production of Non-GMO Soy Protein

Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) announced its decision to increase output of non-GMO soy protein concentrate at its facility in Eurpoort, Netherlands. Driving this move is climbing demand for plant-based foods, greater adoption of flexitarian diets, and a greater awareness and desire for non-GMO foods across Europe. This factor made European origination and production an important part of this expansion.

The facility only recently began producing non-GMO soy protein concentrate, which is made in a powder form, and is suitable for a full range of applications in the food industry. This increase in production will expand ADM’s already expansive plant-based product portfolio, and will give greater access to soy protein as a stand alone product, or as an ingredient in tailored nutrition solutions geared toward shifting consumer trends, according to the company.
