P&H Mill Expansion to Make it Single Largest User of Ontario Wheat

A planned expansion by Parrish & Heimbecker, Ltd. (P&H) will see it become the single largest user of wheat in Ontario.

Work is progressing at the company’s Hamilton site that will see it develop a second flour mill, adding to the existing on-site mill which came online in 2017. Once the expansion is complete, and the second mill is online by 2020, the location will have doubled its capacity.

The company is also making investments to expand its crop inputs business, including a new fertilizer tower in Kerwood, Ontario, that will triple the company’s fertilizer blending capacity, and a new fertilizer mixer that will be able to apply micronutrients, nitrogen stabilizers, and liquid additives more consistently across acreage.

These latest expansion plans follow upon the company’s announced plans in November of last year to build and operate the Fraser Grain Terminal, an export facility in British Columbia, and to expand and upgrade its grain handling and storage capabilities at its Parrish Siding facility.
