Landus Co-op Agrees to Acquire ADM Grain Facility

Landus Cooperative has announced its agreement to acquire a grain facility located in Manilla, Iowa, from Archer Daniels Midland (ADM).

Through the acquisition of this site, Landus will add grain capacity exceeding 2.3 billion bushels for its wholly-owned location in Crawford County, Iowa, including 775,000 bushels of upright storage, 1.5 million bushels of bunker storage, and receiving capacity of 32,000 bushels per hour.

The Manilla elevator will join Landus’ portfolio of nearly 60 grain locations across the state of Iowa. This network, and Landus’ intention to improve efficiency at the site will be a decided benefit to grain farmers across western Iowa.

In an effort to make the transition as smooth as possible for local farmers, Landus is planning to conduct a grower meeting upon closing of the deal on June 1, 2018.
