Cargill Strengthens and Expands Non-GMO Ingredient Portfolio

As consumer demand for non-GMO foods and ingredients climbs, Cargill has launched KnownOrigins - an identity preservation process that will lift transparency in the supply chain and has added multiple Non-GMO Project Verified food ingredients to its portfolio.

Already the purveyor of the largest non-GMO portfolio of ingredients, Cargill’s KnownOrigins program will help the company’s customers to confidently scale up commercial production and will enable new non-GMO products to more rapidly reach the market. Under the program, ingredients will be subject to in-depth testing and evaluation ensuring that they align with agreed-upon non-GMO standards, while Cargill’s enforced production segregation guarantees against cross contamination.

To date, Cargill has received Non-GMO Project Verification ingredients that include dry corn, corn syrup solids, sunflower oil, Clear Valley High Oleic Canola Oil, soybean oil, Clear Valley High Oleic Sunflower Oil, and Clear Valley Expeller Pressed High Oleic Sunflower Oil, among many others.
