DuPont Announces Release of Highest Yielding Line of Soybeans in its History

DuPont Pioneer announced the release of its new line of 54 Pioneer® brand Series A soybean varieties – the highest yielding soybeans in the company’s history.

In July of this year, the company announced that it had deployed a new breeding technology known as AYT 4.0. Using this technology, DuPont has more than doubled the rate of genetic gain for its soybean pipeline and has enabled it to introduce its Series A soybeans to market ahead of schedule.

The varieties will be released for planting in 2017 and will be from maturity groups 000 to 7 across North America. During on-farm plot test conducted throughout 2016, these new varieties produced an average yield advantage of 2.3 bushels per acre against 10,000 comparisons of elite competitors at 400 locations.
