Agspring Names Mark Beemer as New CEO
Agspring announced that Mark Beemer is joining the organization in the role of chief executive officer.
Mr. Beemer began his career in grain and agriculture more than 28 years ago as a commodity trader at the Chicago Board of Trade. He subsequently worked with Louis Dreyfus and moved to Archer Daniels Midland in 1993 through a joint venture between the two companies where he managed corn and soybean merchandising operations. For the next 13 years at ADM, Beemer served in a wide range of management roles including strategic planning, operations, and corporate transportation. Most recently Mr. Beemer was CEO of Aventine Renewable Energy.
Mr. Beemer has served as a senior advisor to Agpring since earlier this fall and is also a member of the Board of Directors of the National Agricultural Center and Hall of Fame.
Founded in 2012 through a partnership with NGP Global Agribusiness Partners (NGP), an affiliate of NGP Energy Capital Management, Agspring successfully completed a management-led recapitalization in partnership with the American Infrastructure MLP Funds and additional institutional investors that will enable the group to continue expanding.
