Chinese Sunflower Seed Company Plans Expansion at Home and Overseas

Inner Mongolia Ding Ye Foodstuff Co. Ltd, one of the largest sunflower seed exporters in China, announced it is accelerating its plans to increase its domestic production while also pursuing a plan of international expansion within the next two years.

Founded in 2013 in Bayannur, China the company which processes sunflower, pumpkin, and calabash seeds for export to markets in Southeast Asia and the Middle East, plans to invest US$73.8 million to establish 20 new production lines next year that will quadruple output to 200,000 tons of seeds per year.

Prompted by expectations of high demand from foreign markets, Inner Mongolia is also planning to establish new offices in Germany and Spain in addition to its existing offices in Dubai, Iran and Egypt, and to build a new factory in Iran by the close of 2018.
