GrainCorp Spending $21M in Preparation of Bumper Grain Crops

Australia’s East Coast grain handler, GrainCorp, is spending $21 million to prepare for this season’s expected bumper grain harvests.

The capital is being spent on equipment that will enable the rapid loading of grain at receival sites, especially mobile equipment including eight high-capacity stackers that can handle 600 tons per hour.

The company has also worked to improve traffic flows and to shift to digitized records from handwritten records to ensure accuracy and efficiency. However, GrainCorp is not planning on re-opening any previously closed sites as part of its preparations.
