Ardent Mills Expanding Organic Initiative 2019

At the end of 2015 Ardent Mills announced an Organic Initiative 2019 to help U.S. wheat growers double organic acreage by 2019. Now, due to growing demand from restaurants and food companies, Ardent announced it has expanded its efforts to include contracts with organic growers in seven U.S. states - Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Michigan, Nebraska, Texas and Wyoming, and the Canadian province of Saskatchewan.

The company has also added additional organic certified milling and packaging locations and storage facilities and will soon have a total of eight organic certified facilities within its supply chain.

Since the 2015 launch of the program, Ardent has also expanded its product portfolio to include organic durum wheat, organic cracked wheat, and organic spelt to its offerings, which already include organic whole wheat flour, organic bread wheat flour, organic all-purpose wheat flour, organic pastry flour, and a variety of ancient grains and breads.
