Paul Maass Named CEO at Scoular

The Scoular Company Board of Directors has named former President of ConAgra Foods' Commercial Foods and Private Brands segments, Paul Maass, as the company’s new chief executive effective August 22.

Maass, who also previously served as Chairman of the Ardent Mills joint venture, led businesses totaling 15,000 employees, 90 manufacturing sites in seven countries with revenue topping $13 billion. He will work from Scoular’s headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska, will be responsible for the company’s global strategy.

After graduating from Iowa State University, Mr. Maass started his career 27 years ago as a commodity merchandiser with ConAgra. From there, he moved through a string of various leadership positions including Director, ConAgra Trade Group (now Gavilon, LLC); President, ConAgra Mills; President, Lamb Weston; and President, Commercial Foods division.

Mr. Maass is now tasked with leading Scoular, a 124 year old company with approximately $5 billion in sales, and encompassing 120 offices and grain handling facilities in North America, South America and Asia, and 1,200 employees in the business of buying, selling, storing, handling, transporting, and processing grains and ingredients.
