G3 Canada Limited Opens Two Canadian Grain Terminals

G3 Canada Limited, the company created by Bunge and Saudi Agricultural and Livestock Investment Company (SALIC), announced the official opening of two new grain terminals in Pasqua, Saskatchewan and Glenlea, Manitoba, Canada, reports Real Agriculture.

Construction of both terminals was begun in 2014 by the now-defunct CWB, and both sites will include a 134-car loop track and have high-capacity drags under the driveways to create the ability to unload a full super-B in less than five minutes.

“This is a significant occasion for G3, and these facilities are a great reflection of our overall vision, which is to build a smarter path from farmers’ fields to global markets,” said Brett Malkoske, G3 vice-president, business development & communications.

G3 is also in the process of building a new 50,000 terminal at the Port of Hamilton which is on pace to be operational before the beginning of the 2017 harvest, and has recently received regulatory approval for the construction of a new export grain terminal in North Vancouver.
