United Cooperative Acquires Four Wisconsin ADM Sites

Beaver Dam, Wisconsin-based United Cooperative has acquired four grain and agronomy sites located in Auroraville, Oshkosh, Ripon, and Westfield, Wisconsin from Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) for an undisclosed amount. The four sites bought through the transaction have a combined storage capacity of over 13 million tons, and the Oshkosh site also includes a liquid fertilizer terminal with rail access that boasts a storage capacity of over 20,000 tons. As part of the deal, United also acquired two agronomy retail sites located in Westfield and Auroraville.

United Cooperative is a full-service business offering grain, agronomy, feed, and energy services to farmers across Wisconsin, Upper-Michigan, and northern Illinois, with sales in 2014 in excess of $579 million. The deal brings United Cooperative’s number of locations to 30, and David Cramer, United Cooperative president and chief executive officer comments, ““We are not only buying a business, we are acquiring the opportunity to serve a broader range of quality producers, and add new services to our existing offerings”, and as a cooperative, United Cooperative returns its profits to its members, helping grow local economies throughout Wisconsin.”
