Bay State Milling Announces Leadership Reorganization

Quincy, Massachusetts-based Bay State Milling has announced multiple organizational changes.

Originally joining the company in 2007 as its plant manager in Wichita, Kansas, Keith Adams has been appointed as director of manufacturing for milling operations. Most recently, Mr. Adams was director of engineering and director of operations strategy with the company.

Mr. Edward Fish will be based at the company’s Quincy headquarters in the role of senior manager – corporate strategy. Mr. Fish has experience in plant-based ingredients and finance, and will work across all milling functions to advance the company’s initiatives.

Jessica Wellnitz will be joining Bay State as product line manager for whole grain nutrition. Ms. Wellnitz brings experience with research, commercialization, management, and business development and will manage and expand the company’s portfolio of whole grain plant-based ingredients.

Sean Finnie, Ph.D., has been appointed as principal lead chemist – commercial science. Before joining Bay State Milling, Mr. Finnie served as principal scientist with an international food company. Mr. Finnie will work with R&D, sales, and marketing to apply plant-based research to the development of future innovations.

Barbara Lee-Budin also recently joined the company as national account sales manager. With 20 years of experience in sales in the food and flavor industry, Ms. Lee-Budin will be based in the company’s Bolingbrook, Illinois office and will manage a portfolio of mid-to-large sized manufacturing accounts.
