Cargill Plans to Invest $50M to Upgrade Kansas Soybean Plant

Cargill Inc. has announced plans to invest $50 million to fund upgrades at its soybean processing plant in Wichita, Kansas.

Cargill has operated the plant since 1960, and has only recently completed the $10 million expansion of the product line at its adjacent oil dressing refinery plant which processes the bulk of the soybean oil produced at the site.

The planned upgrades are scheduled to be completed in 2017, and Cargill expects that the improvements will increase production at the facility by 30%.
