Implications of Weather, Geopolitics and Financial Markets on Ag at Oilseed & Grain Trade Summit

Over 45 industry executives and experts from across the oilseed and grain value chains will speak at the 10th annual Oilseed & Grain Trade Summit this fall in Minneapolis, including principals from The Hightower Report, The Browning Newsletter and the CME Group.

David Hightower

Hightower is a founding principal of The Hightower Report, which broadcasts their research reports daily, to over 3,000 locations and 45 countries, to commercial producers and end users focused on commodities and financial futures. He will speak at the Oilseed & Grain Trade Summit on The Intersection of Geopolitics, Global Trade and Agriculture.

Hightower, who analyzes the energy, metal, index, currency and bond markets daily, has over 30 years experience in the commodity and financial futures industry. Recognized for his trenchant industry insights, Hightower has ranked among the top speakers for the last 15 years with the companies such as ADM Investor Services and INTL FC Stone.

Evelyn Browning Garriss

An accomplished and captivating speaker, Browning Garriss fills auditoriums with attendees waiting to hear her predictions of the impact of weather on global agriculture. As a leading climatologist and author of The Browning Newsletter for the past 25 years, Browning Garriss stresses how significantly influenced people are by the climate in which they exist, and therefore places much importance on understanding the past and present conditions of climate as the impetus for advantageous change in the future.

At the Summit, Browning Garriss will address the challenges and opportunities that the climate presents for participants across the oilseed and grains value chains, examining the short- and long-term natural factors that are likely to shape weather, crops and investments around the globe.

Erik Norland

As executive director and senior economist of the CME Group, Norland is responsible for generating economic analysis on global financial markets by identifying emerging trends, evaluating economic factors and forecasting their impact on the CME Group and its business strategy, and upon those who engage in commodity markets. Norland also is a company spokesperson on global economic, financial and geopolitical conditions.

Norland will present at the Oilseed & Grain Trade Summit on the impact of economic and financial trends on the global agriculture sector.
