Proposed Ethanol Plant in South Dakota Would Push Production Westward

Land rezoning has been completed, and plans for South Dakota’s westernmost ethanol plant are moving forward. If developments advance according to schedule, investors foresee the $65 million Ring-Neck Energy and Feed plant operational by the fall of 2016.

The state ranks fifth in the country for ethanol production, and the Ring-Neck plant would add 70 million gallons of production per year to the state’s output, sourcing corn from within a 100 mile radius. The nearest plant in 100 miles away in Redfield, South Dakota.
